Springtown Camp play back by public demand!!

Willie Deery has been in contact with the website to tell us the great news that the Springtown Camp play is set for a return to the stage. The Millenium Forum where the play was performed have been in touch with Willie and John mc Laughlin, the writers of the play, telling them that there is a huge demand from the public for the Springtown Camp play to be staged again and asking them would they consider a re-run.

Willie and John have agreed. The dates for the re-run have been agreed and they are the 20th and 21st of Febuary 2008 at the Millenium Forum in Derry so you have plenty of time to organize your diary.?When springtowncamp.com asked Willie why he and John have decided to stage the Springtown Camp play again this is what Willie said " Since the last staging of the Springtown Camp play I have been inundated with emails from ex-Springtowners and ex-pats from all over the world expressing their disapointment at not being able to see the play first time around." Willie also said that both himself and John agreed on the dates in 2008 because it would give the ex-Springtowners in far flung places of the world time to plan their trip.

Willie and John have also told springtowncamp.com that the story line of the play will be basicly the same as the original story line apart from a little tweaking here and there. The make up of the cast will be left to John Quigley director of the Grove Theatre, who did such a wonderful job first time around.?springtowncamp.com would finally like to point out that we have been told by Willie and John that this will probably be the last chance people have to see the play as after this they are planning to move on to do other things {watch this space}.?Anyone who has any queries please feel free to contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
