Up and Ready!
Springtowncamp.com would like to thank the staff of Pennyburn School who have provided the website with over forty school photographs taken between the years 1954, the year it opened and 1968.As most Springtowners will be aware, when Pennyburn school opened in 1954 almost 40% of the pupils who went there were children who lived in Springtown Camp. Unfortunately some of the photographs are only copies of the originals so the quality of them are a little bit suspect.

Most of the photographs have only the year in which they were taken written on them and not who the pupils were so it will be up to people to have a look to see if they can recognise themselves or indeed anybody else.I am in the process of cleaning them up as much as possible before I post them on the website.I must say I had great pleasure in going through them and I certainly recognised loads of Springtown school children, including a few of myself.I hope to have them ready soon and hope that you get as much enjoyment from them as I did.
