Saw the site mentioned in The Journal. Two classmates, John Coyle, Colm Wilkinson were from Springtown, also Hughie Gilmore who was killed on Bloody Sunday. We were at Pennyburn school early sixties.

My dad, William McGowan was from Derry, and as far as i am aware he was in and round springtown untill the late 50's. I recently went to see his niece and how nice Derry is. I will be returning to look around. I have lost contact with his family and he has 1 brother Sam living in Carlisle. If you are related to my dad Please E-mail me. Thank you

We lived in #67 Springtown Camp.
My memories are all good except when someone stole my new little tricycle (I was about 4 years old).
We had great neighbours and everyone looked after the others kids.
I remember only the laughter and fun we had.
Thanks to all of you.

hi.. love the site, the family visit it regularly, we all went to see the show at the forum, thought last years was better, although it was a great nites entertainment, and a really nice tribute to all the families of the camp, and my granda stevey got a wee mention which was a bonus!!
